End of the Year Reflection
As another year comes to a close, a reflection over the year only seems natural. So settle in, because we've got a chatty little post coming your way.
2017 is just about done, how is that possible? Apparently it is. Anyhow! My focus for 2017 was a little piece of advice from the one and only, Nikki Sixx. I was lucky enough to see Mötley Crüe on their twice on their final tour. My favorite part? Nikki Sixx sat down and had a little chat, the focus of it to take away? Be the knife.
What does that mean exactly? It means you do you, don't let anyone force you to do anything, just be confident in your decisions and do what you want.
That has always been my mindset, and I kind of lost my way in that sense from 2015-2016. At the beginning of 2017 I just thought, why? Why did that change? Because I was worried about things that are completely out of my control. It caused a lot of stress related health issues and just plain worry. What's the point of that?
A lot of amazing things came out of those two years, however they were simultaneously the most stressful. This year was significantly better. At least once a week I kept saying that in my head, to make sure I focused on that, and it did wonders. 2017 was the year of just saying screw it. What will make me happy? That's all that matters!
