Shop Small | Etsy

One of my favorite places to shop since I was in high school has been Etsy. My go-to place for special gifts, incredible candles, gorgeous jewelry, vintage dresses and amazingly unique home-wares. There is no other place on the internet that can top it, and support small businesses while you're at it! If you haven't dipped your toes in the wonderful world that is Etsy, I suggest that you do, and I also ask, Where have you been?
But I digress.  Today I am featuring two INCREDIBLE brands that are new to me on Etsy! I have so many that I have fallen in love with over the years (and I definitely will introduce you to them all soon); but today, we are focusing on these lovely shops!
First up! The Optimist Shop. For one, they are out of Maine and as a New England gal myself, I can't help but love that. Not only that, but each item you purchase, but $1 of your purchase goes to a charity that you get to pick! This awesome shop has incredibly warm scarves, funky earrings in a variety of color schemes and luxurious body butters! I mean, what else do you really need in life?

Lazy Girl Body Butter. Literally THE best name for a product!!! Plus, this Rain Water scent is to die for. The notes in this are: carnation, lily, crisp white grapefruit, jasmine, tuberose, vanilla beans, sandalwood and musk. You will smell seriously amazing, and your skin will be super hydrated with this! Plus the packaging is killer. An adorable daisy package with this sweet little thank you note inside.

Next up, shop number two! Esme and Jade Jewelry. Another amazing shop that was a find out of pure luck; and I am so glad I got as lucky as I did. I for sure will be purchasing from them again, because I was so incredibly impressed. Great packaging, branding and paying attention to the "little things" is what will always make these creative small businesses so successful in comparison to the big chain stores. Especially when it comes to a gift or a treat for yourself.
Upon opening my lovely box of goodies, I discovered that there was quit the paperwork going with these beauties. And I'm not just talking about a receipt and a business card, although those were there as well. I'm talking a full on explanation. I had no idea that if a bracelet like one of these snaps, it means you're having a breakthrough. Or that wearing one on your left wrist would give you the most benefits because it represents bringing new energy in. And because they took the time to write this paper up for their customers just shows the little things truly do matter.

Thanks for reading!!
