Symbolism in Design | Sting like a Bee

It is so interesting to see trends go in and out with the seasons and throughout the years as far as patterns or designs. In the Summer, we all see lemons and watermelons; and now, cacti everywhere. Then of course as things become more trendy you start to see them as prints anywhere and everywhere like succulents and pineapples.
My current favorite design that has grown over the past four years? Bees.
There is just something about them that I have always been fascinated by. I remember as a kid I would save them if they fell in water and carry them to safety. And somehow they never stung me. With the exception of jumping rope and one got stuck in my shirt and stung me three times... However, that's not the point of this story!
The combination of monochrome with the pop of color, and of course the addition of a striped pattern, they're like the most fashionable insect. And many design houses are including their beauty into their designs, specifically Dolce and Gabbana and Gucci,
I have collected so many different home decor items that are throughout our home. Pillows, dishes, wall art, jewelry, pins, hat boxes.. Yeah, you name it, I've got it.
I always find it interesting to look up the meaning of different designs, colors or stones when I am newly drawn to them. The meaning behind the bee, according to Alex and Ani's bee charmed bracelet?
Loyal | Conscientious | Driven
"The bumblebee is hardworking and extraordinarily loyal to the Queen Bee and the entire community. A symbol of nature's perfect balance, the bee reminds us to slow down, smell the flowers, and taste the sweet honey of life.  Wear the bumblebee charm to channel the bees' meticulous energy, work diligently towards a goal, and ultimately appreciate the sweetness of life."
Something about that has always resonated with me, and I think that it's a great mentality to embody in everyday life. How will you channel the bee? Sting like a bee, and be a boss.
Thanks for reading!!
