Unboxing the Bag of Dreams
I'm sure I know what many of you are thinking. This girl is crazy. The Bag of Dreams? The answer is yes, I am a little bit crazy. Crazy in love with this bag! Now, let's back track a little bit here.
Alright, so. Let us start with a little back story. Each year, since I have started working I like to treat myself to a birthday present. It is always something I have been eyeing or thinking about for quite a while, and it's usually something I have been saving up for. This year is no different as my birthday approaches. This year I will be the big 25. And to me, that's a pretty big deal. Not like ooh scary kinda big deal, but a big deal as in that marks where I am right now in my life. And I'd like to think I'm doing a decent job of this thing we call adulting. I knew I wanted to get myself a designer piece that I would have and always remember that was when I turned 25 and where I was at that point of my life. I think 24 has been excellent, and it has also been the start of a lot of really big, really exciting things in my life. And I wanted to have something incredible by my side to continue and look at and know, this was with me when it all started.
Excellent, you're all caught up! A few weeks ago, I was reading InStyle and noticed something absolutely amazing. This gorgeous little crossbody by Coach. And what made it so spectacular you ask? It was another Disney collaboration! As some of you may know, I am a Disney die hard. Always have been. Always will be. And it has only gotten increasingly more intense since I have been with Erik. So of course I saw the date of when the line released, followed by a little perusal of the website.
I checked a few days before the line was launched, and to my surprise items were available for pre-order! And selling out FAST, I might add. So of course I knew this was it. This was the big thing to mark a quarter of a century. I fell in love with everything in the line which came as no surprise to me. Everything was a dark fairy tale, which is right up my alley.
And of course, I had to get it in the box. Because even though it's a birthday present to myself from myself, I still deserve the fun and excitement of opening a box!
I was torn between this one, and the same style but all black with the poisoned apple and the Snow White title. However the big draw for this one for me is it's something totally different than what I own. It is a statement piece, has the different art that a lot of the other bags have, all rolled into one! Plus, I got to have my initials monogrammed on the tag in silver sparkles. Does it get better than that?
