New In | Skincare- Part 2, The Review
Alright. It has been a little over a month since I introduced a few new skin care items into my routine. Now, let's get down to business as to whether they were a hit or not!
1) Elizabeth Arden's Hydra-Gentle Cream Cleanser. This is a very smooth and soft cleanser, which is excellent if you have sensitive or dry skin. It doesn't lather, and feels like you are smoothing a moisturizer on your skin. Hence the cream cleanser title. Anyway! When it comes to skincare, I tend to prefer something that lathers a bit more or feels like it's deep cleaning your skin. It didn't overly agitate my skin, however, I did get some breakouts before our trip and it didn't help clear them up. It was a fine cleanser, however, I didn't fall in love.
2) Bloom's Antioxidant Vitamin C Dark Spot Serum. This is a very lightweight serum, which I really enjoy. Some serums leave my oily skin feeling clogged, and this one definitely doesn't do that. It has a orange-y scent which is great! It has improved dark marks I have from acne as well as marks on my legs from cuts/ingrown hair marks. Definitely worth the try!!
3) bareMinerals Skinlongevity Eye Gel Cream. I am a big fan of bareMinerals products, their make-up as well as their skincare items. They have quite a few skinlongevity items now; a serum, an eye cream and a sleeping gel cream. They all have a great consistency and you really do notice a different brightness and luminous quality to your skin. I didn't notice a huge difference of my under-eye bags, however I did notice a small difference.
4) Dove's Advanced Care ClearTone Deodorant. This version does have a light rose scent, thankfully not overly because rose scented items aren't my cup of tea. My skin is incredibly sensitive, and I have a hard time with razors, shaving cream and ingrown hairs that leave nasty marks. When I saw that this could help, I was incredibly intrigued. As far as helping your skin and improve the brightness, it definitely helps. Would I say that it would be my go-to deodorant for muggy Summer days? Definitely not. This time of year? It's definitely worth a shot!
I hope you find these helpful if you're interested in testing out any of these products in your skin care routine! Stay tuned for another skin care update, I can't help but try new products and see if they are the Holy Grail.
