What I Wore | Saturday by Megan Ellaby

Two Saturdays ago I set my alarm for 3:55 am. Why you ask? Because one Miss Megan Ellaby launched her first fashion line, Saturday, a beautiful capsule collection of 5 sweaters. (She's from the UK in case you didn't figure that one out!) I have been following her for a year and a half, and I am endlessly inspired by her. The style, her make-up, the fringe, her drive and passion, and of course her incredible ring selection. And never have I ever found the style of the 70's appealing, however, with her? I absolutely love it. She has given me so many ideas to styling items I would have never considered before, and now they're staples I didn't know how I lived without.
This sweater, for example. The last couple of years I have fully embraced the black on black wardrobe. And while that is still mostly what my closet consists of (and still love that), I have been adding some vibrant colors back into it and I've got to say, I've been enjoying it! Especially since the last month has been chilly and cold and rainy, not to mention dreary. Bright and cheerful colors of sweaters, blazers and jackets make this time of year increasingly better.

I received this beauty of a sweater quickly in the mail, by Thursday in fact. Wednesday had I been home to sign! And getting something that quickly was quite a delighted surprise. The packaging is absolutely beautiful from the outer bag (yellow with clam shells all over it), to the cheerful box and the pink tissue paper and sticker and the sweet postcard covered with the signature clam shells. I'm a big fan nice packaging, and all of the little attention to details are so important.
This sweater is so soft and is made from 100% Italian spun extra fine merino wool sourced from Lanerossi Filati. Cozy and lovely knitwear is one of my favorite wardrobe staples and is definitely worth the investment. Especially if you treat it with care, it can last forever! Definitely give Saturday by Megan Ellaby and her blog a look! You will not regret it!
