Easter Sunday Best

I hope everyone had a lovely Easter weekend! The weather here was absolutely beautiful, which was a delightful surprise. Easter is a tricky weather holiday in this neck of the woods. Which makes it even trickier to dress. Naturally, today's topic!
For Easter, your heart says pastels, brights or whites. Unfortunately, the weather outside doesn't always cooperate. Easter Sunday typically means a new outfit, why you ask?
Well, it all started when my sister and I were very little and picked out the fabric for our new dress for church. Of course paired with white tights, a little bag and coordinating shoes. At a young age, I made it abundantly clear that I wanted to have input. Partly because I love fashion and materials, the other part definitely has to do with being a bit of a control freak. I would be excited about the dress, until I was actually wearing it. And as any other kid would do, I would try to squirm out of it in the middle of the service... My Mom always made the smart decision to add extra precautions including a zipper. Incredibly brilliant because I couldn't manage them, and let's be real, still can't. (I can't be the only adult that still has trouble, right?)
As time went on and our Spring holiday got more relaxed, my Mom opted to pick up some new Spring outfit pieces instead of making them. It is something I have always remembered and just a tradition at this point. And if it happens once, it's the start of a tradition. Right, Mom? It could be an accessory, one item of clothing or a whole look.  It's a tradition I quite enjoy and something I look forward to. No matter how old I get, I'll always be her baby girl.
