Neons for Spring? Groundbreaking.

Backstreet's back, alright! Okay. This season for Spring, neons from the 80's and 90's are back! And I've got to tell you, I am here for it.
The past few months I have been slowly incorporating more color back into my wardrobe. For quite a while I was on the 'all black everything' train. And while I still enjoy a head to toe Morticia Addams vibe (original, not Angelica Huston), I am also enjoying the slightly more Lily Munster route. For those of you who didn't watch, what rock are you living under? Her signature dress color was a very pastel lilac. And while pastels are always a Springtime classic, the highlighter brights are really my jam.
When it comes to clothing items, I am an all or nothing kinda gal. I either purchase items that are incredibly classic and simple. Or, items that are bold and make a statement. And the ones that fall into the ugly-pretty category are my newfound favorites. The cilantro of clothing pieces if you will. You either love it or hate it, bottom line, it creates a reaction.
This time of year is tricky. Even though the calendar says it's Spring, New England has not quite gotten the memo. Currently it is a wintry mix outside and my once almost clear yard is now sparkling white. And accompanying that blanket of fresh fallen snow is the gray sky. I love gray. You know, for my boy pups and our home. But not so much outside. To combat that, the neons are the perfect healthy dose of happiness and pep that we all need. And that is not even counting childhood memories they bring.
From the runway to day to day life, enjoy a neon anyway possible! Lip color, sweater, shoes, nail polish or a hoodie. The possibilities for brightness are endless.
