The Hair Diaries | Mermaid Hair Progression
Once upon a time, I had hair all the way down my back. It took forever to grow since I had a pixie cut growing up, however I was determined and did it. There were definitely not so great phases along the way, but when you're a kid, it's almost a part of the process growing up. When you're an adult, it's not so cute.
You may have noticed that my hair looks a little different. Well, the secret is out! I'm secretly Rapunzel and sang flower gleam and glow, and bam! Here we are. Yes, I got tape-in extensions to make the transition from my pixie cut to a bob more smoothly versus being stuck in the Moe Howard phase for who knows how long. You know, Moe from the 3 Stooges. I watched a lot of them growing up, and I can honestly say he was never hair inspiration for me.
Before you know it, I will have a bob with bettie bangs and an undercut, and yep! It will indeed be a shade of teal. Sounds like a whole lot going on, but definitely will be cohesive, I promise. Currently we are in Phase 3 and while I'm there I am going to enjoy having the longer hair for a little bit!
Phase 1 was putting the mega blonde tape-in extensions in, which definitely was a fun look. Especially seeing as we had to use two packages because my hair is so bloody thick. For about 12 hours I had just one package in and extremely curled to hopefully match the thickness of my natural hair. Phase 2 I had to wait close to a day to color them in the teal family so they matched and didn't loosen up the adhesive that was attached to my hair. And currently, we are working towards the final phase, number 3! It's definitely a process, but I will be sure to keep you up to speed on the steps and give you my honest thoughts and opinions along the way!
