What I Bought for my Birthday | Gucci

Since I have been working, I have treated/splurged on something for my birthday each year. In the beginning, it was a lot of make-up. In 2013 it was this beautiful bold and colorful palette from ELF (similar). Think James Charles long before he Morphe collaboration or probably make-up. Next was MAC lipsticks for 2014, that year I unfortunately missed the stunning launch from the Kelly and Sharon Osbourne collection. There was this gorgeous matte pink lipstick that called to me, and apparently everyone else too because it sold out like THAT *snap*. Thankfully, MAC always has the ever classic Candy Yum Yum; which also happens to be one of Kelly Osbourne's favorites. IT was my first MAC purchase and naturally, had to get a second one, Violetta, a beautiful sheer metallic purple shade.

2015 was the year of the book. I stocked up on some of the 80s hair band biographies that are out there. The Heroin Diaries and This Is Gonna Hurt by Nikki Sixx and Dirty Rocker Boys by Bobbie Brown. That's right, the Cherry Pie girl! 2016 was back to make-up with the Urban Decay x Alice Through the Looking Glass palette. The first one sold out immediately and was one I lusted for long after it's release.. So I knew I needed to jump on this one. The packaging and shades of this palette are truly stunning. It always happens to house my favorite hilight shade ever, Lily. If anyone ever finds a dupe for that, let me know.
2017 was a few little treats including the Semi-Annual sale from Bath and Body Works. How thoughtful of them that it happens to fall right in time for my birthday. Naturally we went to the closest Tanger Outlets and stopped at Coach and the Go! game store. Totally scored a bag tag from the second Coach and Disney collaboration with Mickey and the Funko Pop Rocks Guns n Roses figures.

Now, last year and this year's is where things get interesting! I think it is safe to say that I have a love affair with fashion and style, as well as high end pieces. To me, I view them as invstments and pieces of art. Last year I purchases this stunning tote from the Coach x Disney Snow White collection. I immediately fell in love after seeing a piece showcased in InStyle, and new I wanted to save up. Without a doubt the most pricey clothing item I have ever purchased. So far I have used it everyday since purchasing. That was until I got my Coach Thumper tote! It turns heads and gets comments wherever I go and I love it even more now than when I first got it. Definitely a sign of a great purchase!
This year is a big one. And the first time I am buying an item brand new from the design house. And yes, as the title suggests, it is from Gucci. That's right, Gucci.

I am incredibly thankful that I am currently in a position where I can save and set aside for luxury items that I know I will enjoy and use forever. This year I was thinking and pondering about what to get. Then an ad popped up on Instagram for Gucci. Quite honestly, it's nothing new for me to look at designer sites. However the purchasing from them directly is definitely new. So, naturally, I started looking at what they had available in the wallet section and I came across this beauty.
This style of cardholder has been my absolute go to when it comes to my wallet. There were quite a few beauties including bees, bright colors and the classic stripes with monograms. Then. I found the wolf, and it just hit me. That was it. I am a big believer in you just know it when you see it. And this is absolutely perfect for the 2019 birthday.
Thanks for reading!!
