What I Bought | New In Beauty & Review

Maybelline New York TattooStudio Gel Pencil liner in Striking Navy: Another item I was looking to replenish was my Nyx Cosmetics Faux Black pencil liner in Obsidian. It is a great navy liner pencil that has been my absolute go-to this Summer. Gives a slightly softer eye look than my usual black liquid liner. This wasn't readily available, and needed to try something new. This new gel pencil liner is absolutely amazing! In fact, I think I like it even more. IT gibes that crisp gel look while not being as intense as a typical gel/liquid liner.
Maybelline New York TattooStudio Brow Pomade in Ash Brown: I have been a tried and true Anastasia Beverly Hills brow powder and dip brow pomade for quite a few years. I initially went to them in the first place because they have a large variety of shades and undertones. The drug store brands are now upping their game, which most certainly wasn't the case a few years ago. My current dip brow had seen some... let's say better days. I went to the TattooStudio line again from Maybelline to find the Ash Brown. I am thoroughly impressed! I will say, the packaging is close, but not exact. Smaller pot and the inside of the cover where you warm the product up is styrofoam. It does come with a brush but I cannot to attest how that is. I have been using my ABH dual-ended firm angled brush. It fills and blends with that brush great, but it doesn't set as well as the ABH one. Pretty close if you're looking to spend a little less or test the waters in the brow pomade world!
L'Oreal Paris Infallible Pro-Spray & Set Makeup Extender Setting Spray: After I went to repurchase my favorite ELF Matte setting spray, and realized that it was out of stock. And I needed to find a replacement ASAP. I turned around and whatever did I find? This fabulous spray. The packaging is incredible, however the price for being a drugstore item was a little pricier than I was anticipating... 100% well worth it. I tested this out early in the morning, and it lasted me all day and night dancing to Alice Cooper. I did layer it knowing that, and seriously well worth it!

First day testing out all the products! That spray seriously worked wonders
and made this look last all day!

CoverGirl Trublend Base Business Everyday Defense: I'm in love. Seriously in love with this dual primer and sunscreen. It is an excellent moisturizer for an oily skin girl in the Summer, Since it is also a SPF, you get that great protection for your skin. Then the primer comes in and it smooths the skin while giving a great surface for applying foundation. My new drugstore beauty Holy Grail.
Wet n Wild Photo Focus Loose Setting Powder: I'm really torn on this product. The formula is bloody brilliant. It is great for setting concealer and baking, if that's your jam... but I wish the color was a smidge lighter. For me being incredibly fair, it adds too much color. And not in a 'ooh that's a nice glow' kind of way, in a 'ooh what happened here' kind of way. For the price, I would say it's worth a shot, especially if you aren't a ghost!
Maybelline New York SuperStay Matte Ink Liquid Lipstick in Loyalist: Apparently it was a very heavy Maybelline shopping day, unintentionally! I absolutely love these matte lippies. And this shade is my new favorite, and replaced my sadly discontinued Midi from ColourPop. It's perfect. It has enough color to go with any make-up look, a heavy Alice Cooper inspired smoky eye or the classic everyday go-to eye look. If you haven't tried them yet, you are missing out big time. Just remember to blot after applying before you judge them. You'll thank me later.
Thanks for reading!!
