What I Wore | Concert Style
One of the biggest positives for me of having this blog is I have this incredible scrapbook of my style and its evolution. Like with music, an item of clothing or a fragrance transports you right back to a specific moment in time. Same goes for specific outfits. They bring you right back to that moment in time, what it was that you were doing and what you were loving at the moment.
In case you haven't figured it out from my collection of band tees, I'm very into music. I always have music on, and I absolutely love seeing it performed live. There is nothing else like it. When you can feel the bass start? All of your worries just drift away. Slowly but surely, I am checking my favorites off of my list. So far from that list, I have seen Motley Crue (twice), Alice Cooper (three times, and will always see him given the opportunity), Warrant, Poison and Aerosmith. Def Leppard, AC DC, Van Halen, Queen, Scorpions, Guns n Roses just to name a few left on the list.
A super fun part for me attending the shows is to prep a look for the show; and then of course getting a new tour tee. Rock shows are one of the few places I feel 100% comfortable with being my authentic self. Anything goes, and no one looks twice. You're all there together for the same reason and there is this incredible camaraderie.
To start off, we have four different looks from four different shows. We have Motley Crue, Poison, Alice Cooper and Aerosmith. (Sadly, the second time I saw Motley and Warrant I don't have photo proof of.) Naturally the key component for each outfit is a band tee. Then from there, it's a whole lot of fun! For me, I adjust the styling completely depending on who I'm seeing, and of course if the venue is indoor or outdoor. With seeing Motley and Alice Cooper, not a whole lot is off limits. Going big with make-up or hair is a must. Poison are definitely one of the prettier hair bands, but still can rock, so a little softer always works. And Aerosmith? They have had so many phases themselves, anything goes.
As time goes on, I will continue to add to this mini series!
