Sealed with a Kiss

There are certain graphics or images that you see and are immediately drawn to. For me, it's always been lips. I've always loved the Rolling Stones logo but since I don't really listen to them I've never bought a shirt with it. May seem silly, but I don't wear band tees if I don't actually listen to them. Wild concept, I know. Getting back on track. It wasn't until recently that I started to look around my house and my wardrobe that I saw a definite pattern. Lips were a very prominent theme. It's bold, it's rock n roll, seems a little naughty while still remaining this side of being PG.. or PG-13 depending on what it is. Mr. Simmons takes it to a whole different level, let's be real.

There is just something about it that is incredibly aesthetically pleasing. The visual of lips is used is so many ways in different art forms. Everywhere from beauty campaigns, Hollywood starlets for generations, music videos, album covers and pop art.. They're kinda everywhere. Look anywhere from Rocky Horror Picture Show to Audrey Hepburn in one of the last scenes in Breakfast at Tiffany's or the advertising for Kylie Cosmetics; they're everywhere.  For those of you who didn't realize how frequent they show up in pop culture, you're not going to be able to unsee it.. It's like a fun little scavenger hunt and that's kind of how I live my life. You're welcome.
