For as long as I can remember I have always loved the sport of shopping. And I know for some of you reading this that sounds like pure torture. To me the act of shopping is like a treasure hunt. Doesn't matter if you're at a high end boutique, a thrift store or Walmart; there is a gem hidden. Sometimes they just pop out at you and other times you have to do a little digging. Thankfully I've developed the skill.. or was just born with it. I've always been call eagle eye because I can spot things easily. With shopping it's a great trait, at a zoo in the reptile exhibit hoping to not see a snake? Not so much, but I digress! With shopping I can usually do a loop of walking through aisles and spot something amazing. I don't know if anyone else out there does that, it's why I'm a relatively quick shopper. I see what I like and don't feel the need to go through racks of items, therefore the dread never sets in.
I feel like this can become a somewhat controversial topic, and that's not my intention. So, we're just not going to go down the rabbit hole of opinions of Walmart.
For just about my entire life, Walmart has been one of the places I've picked up a good chunk of my wardrobe from. As I've gotten older that has lessened, but I do enjoy a walk through  every now and then when I'm doing my errands. Their selection is consistently getting better and is a great option to get on-trend pieces for a smaller price tag. And depending on what you get, the quality can be outstanding and last you a long time. I think ever since they carried the Mary-Kate and Ashley line (ooh, showing my age?) I've been hooked. Probably before then, but that's when they became a go-to for me.
As I started to get older and was able to invest more in my clothes I discovered I love pairing high end items with lower end. Jeans that cost over $100 mixed with tops under $13? I dig that. You don't have to spend a fortune on items.. Unless you want to. A mix of high and low will forever be my vibe. It's so cool to be carrying a designer bag and pull out your killer shades that cost you under $10. When you wear high and low, and mix and match a little, it elevates everything. Invest over here and save there, having great style doesn't have to break the bank. Today I styled up five new items as well as attached the links in case you love them as much as I do! Happy styling!
