Chatty Catch-Up

Happy Spring! It's been a hot second since we've done a chatty catch-up.. So let's do one, shall we?

The warmer weather has allowed the snow to melt and start to see little sprouts of green pop up on the lawn and time to walk around and enjoy the fresh air. I had some time off of work which allowed me to do projects I've been wanting to do, read, plan, explore and most importantly think. Probably going to sounds insanely nerdy and I'm totally cool with that, I really enjoy having time to just be and think. More often than not it leads to some insightful and profound discovery and lemme tell ya, this week had a bunch. I tend to keep myself busy, so busy in fact that I don't swim too deep in the depths of my brain. Sometimes it's like the Bermuda Triangle and it's hard to get out of the rabbit hole, but when I have the time and am aware, the depths are fun to explore the abandoned pirate ships.

A big encouraging factor for the depths this last week was reading Untamed by Glennon Doyle. If you haven't read it, I highly recommend it. I've heard a lot of talk about it in the last six months but didn't read it, then I was doing my errands a couple weeks ago and saw it was the last one and said alright, I guess you're mine. It's fantastic, but I wouldn't read it until you're ready. And if you're thinking, how do I know? You're not ready. It put a lot back into perspective and helped me remember things I had forgotten along the way. What I do and don't want, and what I'm capable of. It's interesting how we can forget those things in the midst of day-to-day noise, but when you have the silence it all comes back.

I hope you find time for the silence to remember what lays beneath the surface in the deepest depths.
